The signon sheet is now the signon sheet
As of this week, when you signon for the Criterium race, you will be required to put your race number, name and signature on the signon sheet
This is to ensure that all racers are financial members and are covered by race insurance.
Check your Criterium Handicaps:
James “the Handicapper” Jordan (aka “he who must not be named”) has taken out his magic wand and cast a re-grading spell across the Criterium grades.
Go to the RMS and check your grade before tomorrow night’s race. Under the rider name drop-down, click once to populate the list, and then click again once it has finished loading.
Select your name from the list and your grades will be displayed.
2013 Registration:
Please note that 2013 registration are now due. All members must be registered prior to racing. Registration and payment cannot be made on race day; all registration must be made online.
If you pay online, just before race day, then proof of payment must be produced at registration before being allowed to enter the race to ensure that insurance cover has been activated. Please bring along a printed copy of the confirmation Email to confirm registration.
The National AVCC online registration system (IMG) is now available to process renewals and new memberships for 2013. No membership details have been loaded into the new system. You will need to enter all your personal information this year. Next year, you will be able to use your login so you won’t have to re-enter your details.
To register, use the following steps;
· Go to the website: https://memberdesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?OrgID=10244
· Select ‘New Registration’
· Select the State and Club, then press ‘Next >>’
· Select the membership type, then press ‘Next >>’
· Agree the Terms and Conditions, then press ‘Next >>’
· Enter your personal details, then press ‘Next >>’
· After a couple of confirmation pages, Enter your credit card details (Visa or Mastercard) then ‘Submit Payment’.
You will then receive Emails confirming details about your registration and providing you with a logon and password that you can use to update your details in future. Note that once you have registered, you can change your logon name and password to something a bit easier to remember.
If you have any questions or difficulties with registration please contact: membership@actvets.cc
Are you receiving this twice?
We are in the process of switching over to use the new IMG registration system as the mailing list for The Bleat. The Email address that you provide in the on-line registration will be the address for future updates.
Until everyone is registered, this update will go out to the ACTVets Discussion Group as well.

RACE REPORTS:
Lookout Hill– 6th January
With Tuesday's time trial cancelled due to a fire ban we were lucky to be able to race on Sunday when the total fire ban for the ACT was cancelled from midnight Saturday. A good field of 30 riders representing all grades turned out to test their legs over Mt McDonald. The conditions were excellent, cool, no wind, but with a very light smoke haze which drifted in overnight, resulting in some keen times. Paul Scherl led the way with a time that equated to nearly 30kph over the 6.2km course. Full results are on the RMS..
Many thanks to the marshals, Henry Beaverstock, Nick Boylan, Edward O'Farrell, John Hermes, Graham Hendrie, Ian Morton.
Also a big thank you to the race referee, Roger Northcote and our first aid officer.
Track Report – 29th November
Only 9 riders showed up for Track last Thursday which was disappointing but this did not mean that racing was disappointing.
The evening started with a 10 lap warm up scratch race. The Roadie winner was Phill Coulton and the Trackies was Brad Sellwood. Then the Sprint Derby started. The format was - 3 riders on the track, 2 laps, 3 races, each rider will take a turn to lead out, the best of the 3 races would be declared the winner.
For the Roadies there was Phill Coulton, Ben Robey & Rosemary Robinson. Race 1 saw Phill lead out but Ben started the sprint early left everyone behind; Race 2 Rosemary lead out, the sprint didn’t start until the last 200 m and Phill won on the line; Race 3 Ben leadout, but Phil tried a very early sprint on the 1st lap and got a good lead but couldn’t hold it, ben pasted him at 50m from the finish. Ben was the overall winner.
For the B Grade Trackies there was Pat Rooke, Ally Roach & Graeme O’Neill. Race 1 Pat lead out keeping the pace slow for the 1st lap then at the 300m Ally attached and was never caught; Race 2 Ally lead out at walking pace pinning Pat to the fence when Graeme went under both to pick up the pace, Ally then sat on Graeme’s wheel at the 200m Graeme tired an attach but both girls went over with Ally the winner; Race 3 Graeme lead out but the endurance of Ally beat both Graeme and Pat.
For the A grade Trackes there was Eddie O’Farrell, Brad Sellwod & Anton Wuzer. All the races were close but Anton had enough punch at the end of every race to win all 3 three, he made Eddie and Brad go to the limit.
Once everyone got their breath back and all-in Italian Puruit was run which saw Team 1 win.
The events for the next Thursday are: 5 lap warm up scratch, 20 lap points race, team derney and 8 lap scratch. All welcome.
