Important Reminder about DNF’ing
It is important that riders who do not finish report to the finish line marshals to ensure that their name is checked off as a DNF. This avoids race officials have to send out a search party to look for any “missing” riders.

Help Needed on Sunday: Alain requires 3 turn marshals, lead and trail vehicles and a couple of finish line helpers. Anyone who can assist please let Alain know before the weekend.
RACE REPORT:
Lookout Hill Graded Scratch
We had 70 competitors enjoying good safe racing under fine but coolish conditions with a solid breeze from the North West up to about 30kph. I am pleased to report that there were no accidents. The biggest field was in B Grade with 15 riders, most grades had enough for good racing.
Here are the winners and placegetters.
A: Glenn Columbine, Steve Crispin, Brendan Byatt
Glenn and Steve were off the front a long way from home and fought out the finish.
B: Peter Marshall, Marc Vroomans, Rowan McMurray
Good race, but in the end Peter finished most strongly.
C: Mark Langman, Jason Parkes, Michael Reppion
Tight with 6 riders contesting the finish.
D: Jeff Irving, Chris Dean, Mark Ridley
Smallish field in D Grade and 4 of the 6 riders lasted to contest the finish.
E: Trent Wiseman, Ross Robinson, Kathryn Passalis
Four riders fought out a tough grind up the finishing hill.
F: Mike Corke, Clare D'Arcy, Graham Hendrie
Mike was too strong at the finish with seven other riders chasing close behind.
G: Jing Huang, Graham Lindsay, Bruce Jones
Good race in G Grade and a popular winner.
The Race Marshalls reported a couple of incidents with cars behaving impatiently and creating potentially dangerous situations. In one incident a car overtook the turning bunch at a turnaround and in another a car chose to overtake one bunch when there was another bunch coming the other way. Be careful out there.
One case was also mentioned of a rider failing to stop when requested by a Race Marshall; you need to stop when asked guys as we are not allowed to stop the cars. Turns are neutral and the bunch should wait for any riders who need to stop. I was also asked to request that all riders who DNF report to the finish line or the Race Referee, otherwise we assume you are still out on the course.
Thanks to the five turn marshals Steve, Paul, Jim, Malcolm and Peter who did an excellent job. It was also great to have a First Aid Person in attendance and thanks to Henry, James and Graham again taking care of setup, registration and timing for us as they so often do.
